Connells Kitchens, Bathrooms & Bedrooms Ltd pride themselves on their customer service and their ability to provide a top design service. To achieve this, we take great pleasure in supporting our staff in gaining qualifications to help further their career with us.

Mark Lambert joined Connells in January 2018 as an apprentice and has just passed his NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service. We worked in conjunction with WS Training to ensure he had all the support he needed. I actively helped Mark with his assignments, and we allowed him time during the day to complete his project work. To say we are proud of him is an understatement!

Whilst he was completing the apprenticeship, he also developed his skills in designing and is now a very valuable member of our team but more than that he feels like family. We have had very positive feedback about Mark from our customers and we hope that continues to thrive under our guidance and becomes the skilled designer we know he can be.

I am currently studying a Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design and already I have learnt so much since starting in September. I feel very privileged to be able to take this course; I am only in the 7th intake for this course so it is still in its infancy. The tutors and mentors we have access to are incredible people and give their free time willingly to help us. We are currently studying Design in Context and Materials and Technologies which is really opening our minds to design in a different way and unlocking creative ideas that we may not have been able to put into practice previously.

We are discovering the practicalities for accessible kitchens and how to make one space work for the whole family as households become more multi-generational.

The work that Johnny, Natalie, Craig and the other tutors put into providing us exciting briefs and speakers at our residential weekends is incredible and all the students are very grateful.

I am also grateful Connells for allowing me the time to study and attend residential stays during work time.
